What are cookies?

Cookies are short text files that are sent to and stored on the device you use to visit our website or a third-party website, such as your smartphone, computer or tablet. When a cookie is stored on your device, the website you visit can recognize the device you are using. In addition to cookies, we also use similar techniques that help recognize the device and collect information about your behavior on the website, such as javascript and beacons.

Cookies mostly have a limited validity from the moment they are placed on your device. When the validity period has expired, cookies are automatically deleted by your browser. We use cookies with different validity periods. Firstly, we may use cookies which are only valid during your visit and expire as soon as your browser session ends. These cookies are deleted when you end your visit to the page. Secondly, we also use cookies, which are stored for longer periods, so that they can be used for your next visit to the website or a third-party website.

In addition to our own cookies, we also use third-party cookies on the website. We have no influence on the privacy and cookie policies of these third parties,
and are not responsible for this. The third parties have their own purposes for using your data, including following your online behavior and registering your interests.

Approval or rejection of cookies

Most browsers are set so that they automatically approve the use of cookies. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the location of cookies and that you can decide in each individual case whether you want to allow cookies, or whether you want to allow use in certain cases, or whether you want to block them in general. Each browser has different parameters for how the cookie settings are managed.

If you choose to block some or all cookies, the functionality may be reduced on the website.

Cookies on our website

Our website uses different types of cookies, where a distinction is made between two categories: (1) functional cookies, and (2) analytical cookies and (3) marketing cookies, including tracking and social media cookies.

  1. Functional cookies are cookies that enable the use of the website and the use of its functionalities. These cookies ensure that our website functions optimally, and are installed when you open our website or click on a relevant functionality. For example, cookies that are necessary to remain logged in to our website during the purchase.

  2. Analytical cookies (such as Google Analytics) measure the visitors' behavior on the website. With this information, use of the website can be analysed, and reports and statistics on use of the website are generated. With this, we can measure the website's quality and efficiency, and improve the way the content is presented.

  3. Third-party marketing cookies (including tracking social media cookies), for example, keep track of which of our and/or third-party advertisements you have seen via our website or via third-party websites, and for example whether you have clicked on them. If you have given your consent, we (and relevant third parties) may track your online behavior on our website and third party websites using the information we collected with tracking and marketing cookies. With this, we can show you relevant ads and goods, and make personalized offers on our website and third-party websites based on your interests, and keep track of which third-party websites you have shopped with us through. Our websites use the Facebook pixel from Facebook Inc. ("Facebook"). If you have entered our websites via a Facebook advertisement, Facebook places a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on a Facebook ad. These cookies expire after 28 days and are not used for personal identification. If a user visits certain pages on our site before the cookie has expired, we and Facebook can see that the user has clicked on the ad and been directed to this page. Each individual Facebook customer receives a different cookie, and cookies cannot therefore be tracked via the Facebook customers' websites. The information collected using conversion cookies is used to create conversion statistics for Facebook customers who have decided to use conversion tracking. We receive information about the total number of users who have clicked on our ad and have been directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that can be used to identify specific users. If you do not want tracking to be carried out, you can reject the installation of the cookie that is necessary for tracking - for example via the browser settings, where you can either deactivate the automatic cookie function in general or set your browser so that cookies from the domain "facebook. com" is blocked.
