Guide how to wash your lingerie
When you wash
Always start by reading the washing instructions - never wash new lingerie on a regular basis...
Close any hooks and place your lingerie in a laundry bag (laundry bags protect your lingerie and make it last much longer)
Purchase several laundry bags so that you avoid the bag being overfilled and your lingerie not being properly cleaned.
Silk must always be washed with a special silk detergent that does not contain enzymes.
You can wash your lingerie by hand or in the machine if it has the silk wash/hand wash program.
Materials such as cotton, viscose and synthetics can withstand ordinary detergent without bleach and can be washed at 30-40 degrees in the machine.
Do not wash your lingerie together with coarse materials such as jeans or parts that can tear such as zippers and buttons.
Never tumble dry your lingerie.
When you dry...
Always straighten your lingerie before you hang it to dry – this way you avoid it being pulled out of shape (pay particular attention to bras with padding).
Avoid clamps – hang it over a string instead, or lay it flat to dry. Bras can advantageously be hung over a cord so that only the middle piece touches the cord.
Silk must not be twisted or tossed, but is best hung up in a damp state - this way you avoid folds and lines in the fabric.
When you store
It's a good idea to sort your lingerie into categories and colors - it looks inviting, but also makes it more manageable when you have to
choose what you want to wear (e.g. sort by light and dark colors).
Panties and bras can be advantageously divided into drawers or nice boxes. Tops/chemises require a little more space and can either be placed on a shelf or hung on hangers.
Always fold your lingerie neatly - it will last much longer.
When you travel
When you travel, you must of course take your fine lingerie with you.
Put your lingerie in a beautiful lingerie bag, which protects and reduces creasing - so it's like freshly ironed when you unpack.
When it needs to smell
Put soft lavender bags and soaps in fine paper under your lingerie - it smells so wonderful when you open your drawers and cupboards...
